OUR GYM
We have a range of:
Dumbbells and free weights
These are good as they don't provide you with as much stability as a machine would provide, therefore forcing you to work harder to stabilise which helps you improve your coordination, and overall strength and stability.
Cable machine
The cables are great for athletic performance and functional core movements. For anyone who plays a rotational sport like golf or tennis then these are for you!
Swissballs
Often referred to as exercise balls, these are great fun! You can do tons of balance work and they are great to sit on as an alternative to a chair. They help with posture and core stability.
Medicine balls
These are weighted balls used for dynamic movements like throws.
Kettlebells
This is where the heavy lifting and muscle building happens!
Barbells and squat rack
This is where the heavy lifting and muscle building happens!
Plyo Box
This padded step is great for jumping on to, which is where the word ‘plyo’ comes from (plyometric moves like jumping).
Hula Hoops
These are fun! Brilliant for coordination.
Gymnastic Rings
Great for upper body and core strength along with joint stability.
Boxing Bag
For anyone who wants to let off a bit of steam in a healthy way. Boxing is excellent for almost all aspects of training. Whether it be cardio, core, power, toning, power, coordination. You name it, boxing has it!
Climbing Wall
The climbing wall is a bit of a USP for the gym. There aren't many gyms out there with their own climbing wall. Great for strength and lots of fun!
Bosu balls
These are used for balance and rehab. Fun to squat on too!
Versa Climber
The dreaded Versa Climber is quite simply the best bit of cardio equipment out there in my opinion. It doesn't take long to get a good sweat on using this machine!
